What Is the Opportunity? Provide guidance and support in regard to processing and basic underwriting functions with minimal supervision. Handles complex processing transactions and provides technical support. Apply knowledge of rating plans and underwriting philosophy to perform job functions. Provides assistance to resolve problems and provide excellent customer service.
What Will You Do?

• Process and advise on all types of transactions
• Perform data entry by inputting transactions for insurance policies, e.g., New Business, Changes, Cancellations and Renewals, Quotes, etc.
• Review, analyze, select, reject and price insurance risks referred by brokers and internal staff within delegated authority levels
• Obtain necessary information from brokers/insured's to process transactions correctly in a timely manner
• Correct processing edit errors
• Make underwriting decisions within delegated underwriter authority level
• Keeps up to date on regulatory changes, guidelines, etc. and other ongoing training
• Accountable for understanding and supporting emerging business plans and strategies
• May assist with special projects and other functions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Insurance industry study preferred

• High school diploma or GED
