Job Title Risk Assessment Insurance Specialist


















What is the opportunity? As Risk Assessment Specialist, you are responsible for building trusted relationships with Wealth Advisors within RBC Wealth Management Canada and earning the right to work with their High Net Worth clients. You will provide advice based High Net Worth Home and Auto Insurance solutions through a personalized risk assessment approach to protect client’s wealth, possessions and lifestyle. You will also build relationships with Wealth advisors within assigned Wealth Management locations while working with a team of RBC Insurance High Net Worth Specialists to provide HNW clients with complete solutions. What will you do?

  • Partner with WM advisors to effectively meet their clients individual Home and Auto Insurance needs as part of RBC’s strategy to wrap our arms around our clients
  • Develop and implement business plan for assigned territory in terms of which WM advisors to target, relationship building plans
  • Contribute to and is responsible/accountable for team sales success through achievement of individual sales goal and effectively partner with other team members (Group Benefits Specialist and Group H&A Business Development Manager for business owners and Individual Affluent clients)
  • Provide a superior client experience, creating clients as advocates by listening and connecting with them through the use of effective discovery discussions, leading to tailored solutions aligned to our clients’ needs
  • Promote and create an environment that encourages deepening client relationships
  • Communicate and reinforce RBC Vision, National Office and local strategic direction, organizational values and implementation plans
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
  • RIBO License and/or General Insurance License (Level 2 AB + BC).
  • Minimum 5 years of private client/high net worth experience
  • 1-3 years previous sales experience in property and casualty insurance industry
  • Proven experience with relationship management and collaboration
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills, highly driven and self-motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Remain mobile to accommodate clients and branch meetings (50-75% travel required)

  • College or University education
  • CIP Designation, CAIB Designation
