THE ROLE:
We're expanding our Production team and have an opportunity for a Instrumentation Planner, located in Calgary, AB. In this dynamic role, reporting to the Team Lead Planning, you will be responsible for developing Instrumentation job plans and budgets to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company's assets.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:Job Plan Development & Optimization - Create and continuously improve detailed job plans for Instrumentation maintenance, aligning with FAMR policy through feedback, audits, and lessons learned
Budget & Maintenance Planning - Develop, track, and manage the annual maintenance budget and long-range plans. Monitor costs and implement corrective actions to meet financial targets
FAMR Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Actively identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, efficiency, and asset reliability
Turnaround & Outage Support- Collaborate with the Turnaround team to plan and coordinate Instrumentation work during Turnarounds. Support Outage planning by ensuring resource availability, material readiness, and job execution meet schedule and safety requirements
Remote Operations Centre (ROC) Collaboration - Support troubleshooting and technical escalations when required and ensure Instrumentation job plans are clearly understood
Technical Field Support - Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex Instrumentation issues
Preventive Maintenance Program - Develop, review, and optimize PM tasks to balance workloads, reduce downtime, and ensure forecast accuracy
Material & Spare Parts Management - Oversee the procurement and availability of required materials and spares
Vendor & Work Validation - Support vendor qualification review and validate completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance
Contractor Coordination - Schedule and communicate contractor activities, ensuring alignment with job scope, site standards, and safety requirements
Asset Strategy Support - Contribute to the development and refinement of Instrumentation asset strategies with SMEs
Documentation & Compliance - Ensure maintenance records and job plans are accurate, complete, and meet company and regulatory standards
WHAT YOU BRING:Post-secondary Instrumentation trade diploma
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Instrumentation job planning
Advantage will be given to candidates with electrical experience
Proficiency with Maximo is considered an asset
Competency in financial budgeting and analysis is considered an asset
Continuously explores ways to innovate established work processes
Sound communication, time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task
