Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation systems that enhance our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering principles, along with proficiency in various software tools and programming languages. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of instrumentation solutions into our projects.

Duties

Design and develop instrumentation systems, including sensors, controllers, and data acquisition systems. Conduct system design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation for creating schematics and layouts. Implement signal processing techniques to analyze data from instrumentation systems. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and debug instrumentation issues. Develop firmware for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other embedded systems. Use programming languages such as Python, C++, and Perl for scripting and automation tasks. Perform simulations using ANSYS and MATLAB to validate designs before implementation. Maintain documentation of designs, specifications, and testing procedures.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in instrumentation engineering or a similar role within the manufacturing sector. Proficiency in FPGA design and development is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to support cross-disciplinary projects. Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design purposes. Experience with system design principles and debugging techniques. Knowledge of ARM architecture and firmware development is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
