Position: Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer - Functional Safety

Your responsibilities

Perform Safety Integrity Level (SIL) validation calculations Draft Safety Requirements Specifications (SRS) Prepare instrumentation and control cost estimates and quotes Develop technical specifications for instruments and control valves Participate in P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) reviews Oversee the development of technical drawings Develop and execute test procedures Conduct site visits and inspections
What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Automated Production Engineering or related discipline Membership with a provincial Order of Engineers 10+ years of relevant experience
You're the right fit if you have

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively Certification in Functional Safety (CFSP, CFSE, or TUV), and/or knowledge of IEC-61511 and ANSI/ISA84 standards Knowledge of industrial automation (asset) Familiarity with PLC programming, HMIs, DCS, and safety systems (asset) Understanding of electrical circuits and power distribution (asset) Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
