Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Instructor to join our team at the Surrey Campus. The ideal candidate will bring real-world pharmacy experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education.
Schedule: This is a part-time role with Weekend Classes
Requirements:
A certificate, diploma, or post-secondary degree relevant to the Pharmacy Assistant field, and;
Minimum of 2 years' practical experience in a pharmacy setting
Teaching or facilitation experience preferred (but not required)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to student success and continuous learning
Eligibility to work in British Columbia
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures and practical demonstrations to students pursuing careers in the pharmacy field
Prepare and review teaching materials in advance, ensuring they are kept up to date and aligned with curriculum goals
Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine the curriculum in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Provide ongoing academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students while maintaining a respectful and inclusive learning environment
Evaluate student performance, grade assignments, and offer constructive feedback to support learning outcomes
Stay current with developments in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors and integrate relevant knowledge into your teaching
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional methods and subject-matter expertise
Contribute to faculty meetings and interdisciplinary academic initiatives
Maintain professionalism in all communications with students and staff
Collaborate with the administrative team and report to the Academic Director or Campus Director as required
