Preference will be given to internal candidates.Position SummaryInstructors in Health and Human Services are responsible for working with and supporting other instructors in a cohesive team environment, providing instruction to learners, evaluating learner\xe2\x80\x99s progress, designing and developing curriculum and instructional materials, and supporting learners in meeting the learning outcomes of their course and program.Position responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:Provide Quality Courses in Programs Areas

  • Instructs courses as assigned.
Provide a Positive Learning Experience for Learners
  • Meets with learners regarding any academic issues (for example: attendance; conduct, performance).
Build and Maintains Relationship with Internal and External Stakeholders and Promote the Department and the College
  • Keeps current regarding changes in best practice and adapts curriculum as required.
Other Duties /Special Projects
  • Follows College policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree - Related Field (i.e.: Health or human services disciplines; Adult Education preferred)
  • 5 years of directly related professional experience in health and human services
  • An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered
  • Teaching experience in an adult environment
  • Curriculum development an asset
  • Industry relationships an asset
