Summary



We are seeking a dedicated Instructor - Developmental Services Worker (DSW) to join our team at Futures Canadian College. This role is vital in shaping the future of our students by delivering engaging instruction and supporting their academic journey.

Roles and Responsibilities



Deliver DSW program courses through virtual instruction with occasional campus teaching. Teach areas such as developmental disabilities, behavioural intervention, communication techniques, ethical practices, human development, inclusion, and advocacy. Develop and present lectures, case studies, group discussions, and role-play activities. Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, and practical evaluations. Provide academic support and mentorship to students. Maintain accurate student records and support program compliance with college standards. Participate in faculty meetings, training, or program reviews as required.

Skills and Qualifications



Degree or diploma in Developmental Services Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Autism & Behavioural Science, or a related field from a Canadian post-secondary institution. Minimum 2 years of teaching, instructing, or training experience in a college, adult-education, developmental services, or social-services education setting. Minimum 3 years of practical experience working in developmental services, behavioural support, community living, social services, or disability support environments. If the candidate does not have instructor experience, a minimum of 4 years of practical experience in developmental services, behavioural intervention, community support, or related environments is required. Strong understanding of Ontario DSW vocational standards. Excellent communication, instructional, and digital teaching skills.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L5C 4P9
