Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster teamwork and sportsmanship. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans that cater to various skill levels while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with provincial standards. Conduct engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, motor skills, and healthy lifestyle choices. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and understanding. Organize and supervise sports activities, games, and events to encourage participation and teamwork. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation among students. Collaborate with other educators to integrate physical education into the broader educational framework. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and program initiatives.

Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred. Previous teaching experience in physical education or coaching is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus. A passion for promoting health, wellness, and physical activity among students.
