Join us!Job SummaryThe Inside Sales Representative is responsible for acting as a point of contact for existing small- to mid-sized customers not represented by a CN Account Manager. The incumbent manages all commercial aspects of the customer portfolio and cross-sells the full suite of CN transportation services. The position is the first CN contact for customer inquiries related to transportation solutions, and provides guidance on the optimal transportation solution. The role uses Customer Interaction Client (CIC) tool, and manages the Inside Sales queue in a timely fashion to offer first-class customer service while driving sustainable revenue growth.Main ResponsibilitiesCustomer Satisfaction and Interactions\xc2\xb7 Respond promptly to customer emails for CN direct lanes\xc2\xb7 Ask questions to determine the most appropriate transportation solution\xc2\xb7 Sell full suite of CN services (e.g. Carload, Intermodal and Customs brokerage)\xc2\xb7 Prospect new customers and assist them in the registration process\xc2\xb7 Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction\xc2\xb7 Build a portfolio of customers after first 3 months\xc2\xb7 Lead customer contract negotiations\xc2\xb7 Work with various internal CN stakeholders to develop solutions for customersSalesforce Compliance\xc2\xb7 Enter all sales opportunities in Salesforce as they come in\xc2\xb7 Follow up with customers after sending rate proposals\xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline to reflect realistic business potential or CN\xc2\xb7 Maintain customer and contact information up to dateSupply Chain Sales Support\xc2\xb7 Offer assistance to Supply Chain Sales Account Manager as required when not able to respond to customer to ensure CN offers impeccable customer service\xc2\xb7 Provide training to new hiresAdministrative Tasks and Safety\xc2\xb7 Edit weekly and monthly reports\xc2\xb7 Document safety incidents in customer relationship management (CRM) and coordinate meetings with customers and CN operations\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with Marketing to reduce unrated waybills and disputes\xc2\xb7 Perform data mining and prospecting activities\xc2\xb7 Ensure timely renewals of publicationsWorking ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a hybrid workweek with 3 days at the office.
