Position Overview




We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Business Development Representative to join our Toronto team. In this role, you will develop new business via outbound calling to prospective customers, manage inbound orders, proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, strengthen customer relationships to grow accounts, and provide superior customer service via fast issue resolution and technical support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, has strong communication skills, and combines sales instincts with a passion for delivering superior service.

Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm

Salary:

$60,000/year

Responsibilities:



Inbound Order Processing



Manage customer orders via multiple channels (web, phone, email, and chat). Ensure accurate order entry, product availability, and delivery coordination. Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment. Provide reliable customer support and resolve issues efficiently.

UpsellingCross-Selling



Recommend complementary products and introduce new product lines. Educate customers on product benefits, features, and promotions. Consistently meet or exceed targets by maximizing account revenue.

Account Development



Build and maintain long-term relationships to encourage repeat business. Conduct outbound calls to prospective, new, and established accounts to introduce products, share promotions, and uncover new opportunities. Proactively connect with existing accounts to introduce new offerings. Monitor customer buying patterns to anticipate future needs. Collaborate with external sales or account managers to drive growth strategies.

Qualifications:



2+ years of inside sales, account management, or B2B customer service experience (preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset. Demonstrated success in outbound calling, upselling, and cross-selling. Proficient with CRM/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset. Experience in distribution, consumable medical, hygiene, or cleaning products is an asset. Results-driven with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
