The Inside Sales Associate must reside in the Toronto/Greater Toronto Area or Halifax, Nova Scotia Area and comfortable with a Hybrid work situation

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for supporting Business Development (BD) Directors in daily and long-term strategic tasks to develop and grow a sustainable energy storage business, communicating internally with other departments within the SSES business division including limited interface with the customers/clients.

  • Support Regional Sales Managers and BD Directors on the daily work, including but not limited to RFP review, proposal, and quote preparation, seek internal approvals on different fronts.
  • Support BD Directors on RFP documents review and proposal preparation
  • Communicate with internal departments such as Procurement, Application Engineering, and other within SSES to get info needed for the RFP
  • Support BD Directors on executing and fulfillment of PO from the customers/clients
  • Other support needed by the BD Director
  • Support the overall RFP review and execution process, coordinating with the necessary team stakeholders to ensure all responses have been provided and incorporated into the RFP response.
  • Support Marketing including developing presentations, project videos, and summaries, coordinating with Marketing department on any conference activities, and compiling a marketing repository for BD to pull from.
  • Collect and summarize market and industry updates from various insight reports such as Woodmac, HIS, Fractal.
  • Manage, finalize, and Submit Monthly Management Reports.
  • Update and generate BD Templates including proposal templates, quote templates, etc.
  • Maintain Pipeline document by coordinating with BD stakeholders on project/customer status.
  • Help coordinate and liaison discussions with new customers.
  • Provides overall support of sales operations and purchase order execution / purchase order fulfillment with clients in our US Division.
  • Review and process client requests and orders with high level of accuracy.
  • Provides timely follow-up to clients when Regional Sales Managers and BD Directors are on the road and unavailable.
  • Interact with clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Create and track quotes within CSI SSES CRM tools.
  • Partners with Regional Sales Managers and BD Directors to fulfill sales objectives by providing support and upselling CSI SSES products and services.
  • Provide clients with technical and administrative product information and analysis.
  • Qualify new prospects and support the customer set-up process (credit line management and customer data documentation).
  • Remains in close communication with Regional Sales Managers and BD Directors to identify sales strategy with each account (pricing, terms, product, availability, etc.).
  • Assist with projects across sales and marketing as needed. Such as system enhanced process improvements or exhibition preparation/attendance
  • Day-to-day administrative support
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 4+ years of B2B sales support, account management, or client services experience
  • Energy Storage Industry a plus but not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient with Sharepoint.
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint) (Proficiency with solar-specific software a plus)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely and professionally
  • Results oriented, organized, highly motivated, and creative
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
