The facility, located in the City of Vaughan, is a state of the art operation which services the needs of their customers on a just-in-time basis.

Position Summary

We are currently hiring a Mould Polishing Technician with prior industry experience. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in manual and machine polishing of injection mould tools, with the ability to meet tight tolerances and high surface finish standards. You will work alongside a team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Polish and finish injection mould components to achieve mirror or customer-specified surface finishes. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure polishing is completed to precise standards. Use a variety of tools including hand stones, diamond compounds, ultrasonic polishers, and rotary equipment and dipper file (air dippy) Inspect polished surfaces for defects, uniformity, and finish quality using magnification tools and gauges. Collaborate with fellow employees, quality control, and project managers to meet production timelines. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures and protocols. Identify and troubleshoot polishing-related issues and propose solutions.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in the mould polishing industry (Injection moulding experience preferred). Strong knowledge of polishing techniques and materials, including mirror finishing and SPI standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Comfortable working with steel, aluminum, and various mould coatings. Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to work over-time when required.
