Axium Packaging has an immediate opening for an experienced Injection Mold Mechanic at our Mississauga location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set-up Production Lines as required on a daily basis Troubleshoot and correct any set-up issues on Production Lines to minimize downtime Perform repairs and perform preventive maintenance tasks Lubricate and clean machinery Install and commission new machinery Clean and maintain the maintenance room after use Disassemble and assembly of production machinery for sanitization as required Responsible for safe operation of equipment Responsible for reporting problems to supervisor/management and assisting Shift foreman in the continuous operation of production. Correct any quality issues as indicated by QA personnel Complete all necessary paperwork Follow all policies and procedures as set out by Management Perform other duties as instructed by Supervisor/Manager New Mold Trials and Verifications New Material and Pigment Trials Monitoring of Production processes and maintaining continual operation of conforming product. Will be working with plastic bottles and plastic containers

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Mechanically Inclined and well versed in Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical Able to perform Processing to finished part Understanding of Grinders, Chillers, Air Compressors and other auxiliary equipment associated with the operation of a Plastic Bottle Manufacturing facility. Experience in a Blow Molding manufacturing environment of HDPE and PET materials. Able to work shift work. Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and SOPs. Ability to work in team based environment and also work independently in a proactive manner Strong written and verbal communication skills Solid Mechanical Background Must be familiar with chillers and compressors. Relative work experience in industry: 2-3 years
