Are you looking for a newly created position within a company? Our client is looking for an experienced bilingual Trademark Paralegal to take tasks currently sent to a law firm. A great career opportunity for you!You will have the opportunity to work with senior management and business development team of a Montreal head office with numerous trademarks and copyright covering markets in North America, Europe and Asia.Our client offers competitive compensation as well as a hybrid remote/on-site work schedule.YOUR ROLE:
As a Paralegal, you are involved in challenging trademark cases.Your responsibilities will include:

• Follow-up of trademark files and deadlines and communication with the various stakeholders;
• Collaboration and support in transactional files related to the intellectual property assets, in the files of oppositions, changes of titles and name searches;
• Trademark infringement watch;
• Drafting, preparation and filing of report letters and draft responses to examination reports;
• Preparation of instructions for renewals, assignments, responses to official letters and maintenance of records;
• Various searches in official databases and other databases;
• Liaison with outside Legal Counsels and review of their invoices.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• DCS in Paralegal Technology or any other equivalent training;
• Significant experience in a Trademarks position;
• Good level of bilingualism, specifically in English, spoken and written;
• Proactivity, analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Sense of organization and excellent internal/external client service.
