We're looking for an

IS&T Business Partner,

for IOC Mining and Processing Ops

. The Business Partner will be responsible for the business relationship between Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) and IOC's mining and processing operations in Labrador.

Responsibilities



Team management



As the successful candidate, you'll be part of a team of seven people. You'll be responsible for IS&T's proactive, holistic engagement with the IOC site(s) under your responsibility, keeping activities strategically aligned to deliver cost?effective, value?added results. You'll manage the level of service provided based on IOC's expectations and capacity. You'll be the main point of contact for the

managers

and

representatives

of the IOC sites and sectors under your responsibility.

Company partnerships and execution



Understand Rio Tinto's strategy and priorities and translate them into technological opportunities. Deliver the full suite of IT services, working collaboratively with the operations team to provide stable and reliable services. Develop the business cases for technological opportunities in preparation for delivery by IS&T stakeholders. Make sure that IS&T risks (including cybersecurity risks) are understood and integrated into the Product Group's risk plans and that corrective action is taken. Advocate for information systems technology; become a trusted advisor by always delivering on promises and providing technical knowledge and a strategic vision in presenting different and compelling viewpoints to challenge the status quo. Be customer-focused; engage in substantive discussions with on-site management and senior leadership on a regular basis.

What you'll bring



Leadership regarding safety, teamwork, respect, integrity and excellence Eight or more years of work experience in IT management A university degree in an IT-related field is preferred Management experience in one or more of the following fields: transformation and optimization of business activities, planning, production/operations, business relationships, operations processes Effective communication and engagement style at all levels as a representative of the Information Systems & Technology team Ability to question the levels of service provided and support the company's business objectives of streamlining and standardizing IS&T services Ability to communicate in English. French is an asset

We also operate a wholly-owned 418 km railway, the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway (QNS&L), that links our Labrador operations to Company-owned port facilities in Sept-Iles.
