The Head of Information Systems and Technology (IST) is responsible for leading the establishment, planning, and delivery of information management services, on-premises, and cloud-based Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, and processes including those for data architecture, data governance, security, service desk, and vendor management. They lead a team of IT professionals, manage projects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week availability of business applications. They are an active contributing member of the Agency's Leadership Team (ALT), and lead in alignment with the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Leadership Model.

Qualifications
------------------
Four (4) year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Technology Management or relevant free in Information Technology or Management required
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification required
Cloud Certification preferred
Security related Certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT management experience, with a minimum of 10 years of Information Management and Technology experience, preferably in the social services/healthcare sector
Experience managing a Service Desk team providing virtual and physical support across multiple offices
Proven experience with implementing IT support processes aligned to ITIL
Experience in cyber security, security framework such as NIST, privacy best practices, and security management tools like Microsoft 365 Security Solutions
Experience defining and implementing a data strategy to allows for integration of disparate systems, collection of data in a data storage solution and building reports and analytics to enable business decision making
Experience defining and implementing IT roadmaps and strategic projects to enable Business strategy and objectives
Experience driving automation in IT support processes to improve service quality and efficiency
Experience implementing and driving adoption of MS Teams and Contact Center solutions
Experience in vendor management across selection, negotiation, monitoring service quality, and driving improvement and changes
Knowledgeable and experience in anti-oppressive practices related to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Experience working with community and provincial partners and agencies to provide quality integrated services for clients
Experience in human resources management practices, including team development, training, coaching and mentoring staff
Experience with strategic and operational planning/implementation, strategic key performance measurement practices, organizational risk assessment practices and working with Senior Leaders and Board members
Knowledgeable and experience in holding an agency wide and provincial wide perspectives
History of working productively and collaboratively with stakeholders
Advanced software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook); experience using Client and Human Resources Information Systems an asset
Excellent communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and proficient in making presentations and professional business writing
Highly adaptive, resilient, and responsive to changing circumstances
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
