We are currently looking for a

PAINTER.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Painter performs all types of industrial painting work and prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, taping or other means as necessary. The position summary is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.

DUTIES

Use priority list and determine paint and procedures required

Mix, match and blend various paints and special protective coatings to achieve desired colour, consistency, and drying properties

Use brush, spray gun, conventional and airless spray systems to apply paint to manufactured equipment

Erect and use ladders as required

Check and document humidity, dew point and mil thickness

Meet production standard hours

Clean and store tools and equipment, keep work area clean

ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK

Previous experience as an Industrial Painter in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics

Willing and able to work overtime as required
