We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, with expertise in both electrical systems and mechanical equipment within manufacturing environments. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automation, production, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and uptime.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, and production machinery.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and control systems to ensure proper operation of automated equipment.
Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
Conduct routine inspections on production machinery, HVAC, compressors, and facility utilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Support facility maintenance including lighting, building infrastructure, and safety systems.
Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and alignment, ensuring mechanical and electrical integration.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement equipment improvements.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation of work performed.
Follow and promote safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company maintenance protocols.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment reliability and facility performance.
Provide training or guidance to operators and junior maintenance staff as needed.
Skills
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in industrial maintenance, with both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motors, sensors, and control systems.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems such as gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Experience with CNC machinery, automation equipment, and production lines.
Familiarity with facility systems (HVAC, air compressors, lighting, water systems) is an asset.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools for updating diagrams is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
