In this role, you will

Collaborate with all internal teams to understand and meet sourcing needs.
Identify suppliers or service providers based on quality, cost, regulatory, and delivery performance.
Prepare and issue RFx documents, and ensure clarity in specifications and requirements.
Evaluate and select suppliers by conducting thorough due diligence, assessing reliability, production capabilities, and adherence to quality and ethical sourcing standards.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risk.
Own sourcing activities for indirect spend categories, ensuring alignment with operational, financial, and retail business needs.
Support and lead sourcing and negotiation activities related to retail operations, including service providers and retail store related contracts.
Be accountable for contract execution outcomes, including cost control, service levels, compliance, and supplier performance.
Independently make sourcing recommendations and decisions within defined authority levels, escalating risks with proposed mitigation plans.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations, and maintain strong, long-term relationships to ensure consistent supply.
Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to discuss achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance issues.
Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Analyze the competitive landscape to make sure GoodMorning's products maintain a market advantage.
Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities, to ensure GoodMorning continuously offers products that its customers love.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing strategies to achieve company goals and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Track and report on key sourcing metrics and supplier performance data to identify improvement areas.
Our ideal candidate

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a relevant area is advantageous.
At least 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a specific focus on sourcing new products.
Proven track record in developing and executing sourcing tactics that have led to the introduction of high-quality, consumer products.
Understanding of procurement and sourcing regulations, product quality standards applicable in North America, and awareness of the global regulatory landscape affecting sourcing activities.
Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing long-term vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
Strong asset: Experience or solid understanding of the retail market, including retail lease structures and rental contract negotiation for physical store locations.
Unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity, and strong moral and ethical principles in all procurement activities.
SkillsStrong negotiation skills, with experience in negotiating with suppliers to secure beneficial terms and ensure product quality and compliance.

Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in procurement software platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Coupa) to manage sourcing cycles efficiently.
Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential negotiations and sensitive information.
Financial analysis skills, including cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential suppliers, considering quality, cost, reliability, and capacity, as well as sustainability and ethical practices.
Capability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with sourcing activities, ensuring business continuity.
Experience in leading or contributing to change management initiatives within sourcing or procurement to adopt new processes, technologies, or strategies.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to support strategic decision-making.
A collaborative and innovative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in sourcing.
Ability to evaluate and negotiate service-based and retail-related contracts, balancing commercial, operational, and risk considerations.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs in the procurement process.
Skilled in using Google Workspace applications (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides) for collaboration, documentation, and reporting.
