We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Inclusion Support worker to join our team! The ideal candidate will be working with an individual with challenges and be willing to include the individual in all activities.
This position is from 11 AM to 530 PM. Some days may be all day depending if you are required to cover another educator due to vacation, illness etc. Between the time you arrive until the child arrives off the bus you will be covering lunches, cleaning where required, taking your break. This child will be arriving at approximately 330 PM on full days of school and on PD days, weather days, and school closures will be full days. The candidate will be at the daycare from 8 AM to 530 PM.
This position requires First Aid, a clean criminal record check as well as a clean Vulnerable Sector check!
This position starts October 1st with the possibility to begin picking up shifts before then as a casual relief staff to get used to the center and children!
Duties
Program and plan child led crafts and activities
Maintain a safe and clean classroom.
Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and motivation.
Collaborate with parents and other staff to promote strong relationships
Qualifications
Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
Previous child care experience would be a benefit
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young learners.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
