As the Inclusion Diversity Equity Accessibility (IDEA) and Reconciliation Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for leading projects and provide expertise leadership to multiple partners throughout the business, recommend solutions and support the implementation of those initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing implementation of strategic elements, embedding Reconciliation practices and IDEA programs supporting partner groups across the organization, and contributing to annual strategic projects with responsibility for project oversight.

How you will create impact:

  • Provide senior expertise and consultation through leading projects, participation in working groups, and cross-business collaboration on Reconciliation and IDEA topics.
  • Collaborate, embed, and provide expert consultation to key partners (Employee Resource Group\'s, Influencers, Talent Acquisition, HR, and other business units) to progress our annual Reconciliation strategy and IDEA strategy.
  • Leading capacity building through education, research and best practice in Reconciliation and IDEA.
  • Provide coaching, allyship and leadership in IDEA and seek to collaborate and build synergy with the wellbeing team and IDEA specialist. Recommend appropriate solutions, counsel and advise employees and leaders, gather feedback for future initiatives.
  • Research, analyze, cost, implement, evaluate effectiveness and impact of Reconciliation programs and IDEA Strategy implementation.
  • Offer consulting and advice at all levels of the organization from individuals contributors, external partners and senior leadership.
  • Implement, evaluate and evolve Reconciliation and IDEA solutions, strategies and initiatives to meet short and long term business goals.
  • Lead medium to large projects that are focused on key activities with the Reconciliation and IDEA strategies.

  • You have a post-secondary degree or other experience or professional development.
  • You have certification in, wellness, accessibility, disability or mental health.
  • You have Certification in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity Accessibility and/or Reconciliation certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management, Communications or other relevant experience or training.
  • Senior level experience in project management, strategy development and implementation, communication, advocacy and group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge in legislation impacting IDEA and Reconciliation.
  • Leadership experience and team development skills preferred.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Qu\xc3\xa9bec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

  • Expected Salary Range: $86,250 - $143,750
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
