MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Helping drive the evolution and implementation of Cogeco's enterprise DEI vision and strategy for North America, aligning with company values, mission, and business goals - by helping bring our human-centered inclusive culture to life.
Collaboration and partnering with Employee Resource Groups and various North American teams to spearhead initiatives that highlight Cogeco's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering cohesive inclusion initiatives.
Support the design and execution of inclusive leadership plans.
Utilize data and insights to enhance internal communications and engagement, strengthening our internal narrative to ensure high visibility and positioning, supporting DEI initiatives.
Contribute to supporting executives and training (presentations, insights, communications) for Cogeco's Executive Leaders and needs in coaching on inclusive leadership.
Serve as the internal reference for inclusion and belonging, providing expert guidance and consultation to senior leadership, management, and employees. Establish and drive best-in-class DEI practices, aligning goals with broader business strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Work closely with HR Business Partners and HR Information Systems partners to monitor, measure, and report on key metrics related to the equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy, including annual Accessibility and Employment Equity reporting. Stay abreast of legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements, and review company policies to ensure compliance.

Leadership & collaboration: Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach, to partner with cross-functional teams (Leaders, Legal, Comms, etc.) to drive DEI implementation and manage organizational change effectively.
Communication excellence and positive influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex DEI topics into accessible language and drive progress.
Networking & partnerships: Proven ability to build and leverage internal business partnerships and a network of contacts.
Adaptation: Poise and resilience in navigating cultural change and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Self-motivation and drive: Autonomous and self-motivated with excellent judgment, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Possesses a strong desire to drive change through strategic and execution capabilities, coupled with a curiosity for evolving DEI needs.
Curiosity and business acumen: Excellent business mindset, using data and insights to drive strategic impact on inclusion outcomes. Highly curious, with the ability to dig deep and use data to identify DEI challenges, design solutions and measure progress.
Bilingualism: Fluency in French and English (both spoken and written) is required for working with stakeholders across North America.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, etc.) preferred.
3-5 years of experience in workplace diversity, equity, inclusion, and culture.
Concrete and proven measurable experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive DEI and employee engagement plans.
Solid experience in providing strategic advice on inclusion and the management of complex organizational dynamics.
Solid experience as an internal advocate and champion for DEI.
Knowledge of the telecommunications industry is an asset.
Knowledge of the Canadian and American DEI landscape is an asset.
Travel may be required (10% or less) in Canada and the US.
