MLT is seeking a person who would like to start or continue a career as an Implementation Technician in the telecommunications industry. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and work ethic with a willingness to continually gain knowledge in the evolving telecommunications industry.
As an implementation technician, you will work on individually assigned tasks or client driven projects. The Implementation Technician position involves hands-on labor typically offsite at customer sites.

Job Duties
Provide support on various implementation projects.
Structured cabling and labelling as per customer standard.
Run fibre and labelling as per customer standard.
Install and label equipment as per design and customer standard.
Organize equipment as per project requirements.
Understand technical requirements as outlined in design packages.
Collaborate with colleagues to implement and activate design packages.
Gather and update data for as built documentation.
Ability to write, read and comprehend technical documents and apply the information.
Create work tickets using customer application.
Troubleshoot issues encountered during the implementation phase.
Perform work within agreed timelines to ensure company objectives are met.
Accept and integrate on the job feedback.
Perform site surveys prior to design phase in order to gather complete and accurate documentation.
Complete work on time, on scope and within budget to ensure company objectives are met.
Learn to adapt to new standards in a changing customer environment.
Update records when tasks or projects are completed.
Attend meetings with MLT's Telecom Services Business Unit.
Be willing to undertake any other task or responsibility, within your skill set, that would help you grow within the company.
Ensure that communication with clients and peers is done in a professional manner.

Requirements
Grade 12 High School diploma
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Good level of physical fitness as heavy lifting is required.
Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Working Conditions
Manual labor, moving around throughout the day

Travel will be required within Ottawa and possibly other provinces
Work outside the 8am - 5pm workday when required
