We're Ian Martin Group and we've partnered with our client who is a MSP (managed services provider) that works with various clients in oil and gas all the way to insurance, supporting them with their IT needs. From Office 365 migrations to network refreshes and server migrations, no day is quite the same. Now, our client is looking for an Implementation Specialist to join their growing organization. We're looking for you! Implementation Specialist In this role, your main responsibility is to quote and implement project work from start to end for your clients. You'll do this with your previous project and implementations experience along with the ability to organize and schedule the technical element of your work. Specifically, you will: * Implement project work as per project scope, specifications, and deliverables for mid-large sized companies. * Maintain close adherence to schedule and inform the Project Manager and/or Manager of Professional Services if unable to do so. * Design and review infrastructure solutions and proposals * Produce and update quotes for proposed project work. * Attend IT Roadmap meetings and make recommendations on client IT environment improvements. * Lead, coordinate, and delegate technical execution to other assigned team members. * Lead up to, and during project delivery, provide proactive updates and set proper expectations with customers ("how-to", "what to expect documents", and "desk drops"). * Provide expertise in server management, storage and backup infrastructure. * Continuously design, implement, and make improvements on the IT systems infrastructure. * Monitor overall system health, anticipating potential issues and minimizing impact for users. * Plan, coordinate, and deploy the systems upgrades, updates, fixes, and other maintenance and improvements. This is a perfect role for someone who loves variety. You'll have regular, repeatable tasks, which will be mixed with various projects you'll manage or advise. You'll touch several areas of these businesses so having a wide variety of experience is important and critical to this role. Qualifications include: * Degree or Diploma in an IT based curriculum, or 5 - 10 years of relevant direct experience in supporting and maintaining small to medium size server and network environments * Microsoft Azure certification preferred * Solid hands-on experience with Office 365 * Proven experience in Azure Cloud IT Infrastructure environment * 5+ years of experience working with Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, GPOs, Routing and Switching, Firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, Citrix * 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare) * Demonstrate a positive success rate on previous project implementations, migrations, installations, maintenance and support working with Office 365 and MS Azure * Solid understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services * Double vaccination required * Experience working in the consulting space (asset) * Proven leadership experience The Details This is a full time, permanent role located in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. You'll work remotely Monday to Friday, 8-5 and will need to have flexibility to work overtime or on weekends depending on project scope, for which you will receive pay or time in lieu. This role requires a full-time access to a vehicle to drive to clients' offices as required within the Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. The gas expenses and commuting time will be reimbursed.
