About the Role:

As an Implementation Engineer, you are responsible for engaging with our largest and most strategic clients to assess the technical rollout and launch plan for Enghouse Qumu. You are a key member of the Professional Services team, with a technical background and competencies in consulting, video technology, SaaS, development, and integrations.

Applying a consultative approach, you will implement Enghouse Qumu technology solutions for clients, assessing cultural, structural, and business functions, and translating these findings into an Enghouse Qumu solution built for scale and flexibility. You will be involved in configuration, user management, authentication, integrations & customizations, and ensure there are no technical barriers to user adoption of Qumu. Mindful of driving successful outcomes for clients you will continuously think creatively and collaborate with clients to advise on new and improved ways to leverage the Qumu platform. You love strategically working with clients, and in this role, you will advise clients on how to get the most out of their Qumu platform.

You will be highly motivated, creative, an excellent communicator, and thrive on implementing technical solutions within complex environments and is excited about the opportunity to work within the growing enterprise video space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with clients acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Assess clients\' business and technology requirements, translating the business requirements into a solution.
  • Collaborating with clients on the implementation of the solution, ensuring the successful launch of our technology.
  • Customer Success focus. You will work closely across teams to ensure our customers are successful.
  • Work closely with clients and partners to lead implementation projects, aligning to best practices, and ensuring our solutions meet the client\'s long-term business objectives.
  • Deliver technical consulting and advisory services, including technical workshops, design reviews, onboarding, training and enablement, performance optimizations, and support of ad-hoc technical queries arising from clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on client expansion opportunities.
  • Continuous improvement by developing your expertise in products, streaming technologies, and the enterprise video industry.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, and knowledge sharing across our teams.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Services team to write technical and business-facing documentation for internal and external distribution.
  • Some travel may be required.
Skills/Experience
  • You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to go a mile deep with technical customer resources or to explain the most basic capabilities to a business user.
  • You have excellent presentation skills for presenting business-oriented solutions and advanced technical concepts.
  • You are a talented professional, experienced in consulting and implementing technical SaaS solutions, whilst engaging with all levels of business and technical stakeholders.
  • You have extensive enterprise information technology expertise and understand networks, virtual infrastructure, identity providers, and security.
  • Network topography understanding. Understanding of network signal flow within client\'s networks to cloud instances.
  • Security Certificates knowledge - SSL and TLS
  • Web Stream protocols - Knowledge of different transfer streams. RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, SRT, TCP
  • Media Codecs - Compression/Decompression codecs such as H.264, MPEG-4, and MPEG-2. Also, Audio compression
  • Basic concepts of Broadcast standards. Aspects ratios, Frame rates, audio codecs
  • Network storages protocols
  • Troubleshooting Network and Media methodology.
  • You have past experience working directly with clients, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • You have a bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • You have at least 5+ years of previous software, consulting, or professional services experience.
  • You have hands-on experience in broadcasting, encoding technologies, or streaming media.
  • You have hands-on experience with content delivery networks (CDN), enterprise content delivery networks (eCDN) & peering delivery solutions.
  • You have hands-on experience in client and server-side development (e.g. HTML, CSS, RESTful API, Java, PowerShell, and Node.JS).
