Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Manager of Immigration Services, the Immigration Consultant is responsible for processing immigration support files and providing immigration services to eligible international candidates recruited for hard-to-fill positions within all departments of Nova Scotia Health. The immigration consultant provides employer support for immigration purposes to international employees who would like to remain working with Nova Scotia Health. This position involves supporting the organization and employees with immigration-related processes, education on immigration-related matters and ensuring employer compliance. The Immigration Consultant will also participate in developing policies and procedures to support international recruitment and immigration services, as well as building relationships throughout the organization to ensure the successful onboarding of newly hired international employees and provide employer support to retain valuable international employees.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-secondary education or certificate with a concentration in Human Resources or related
  • Registered Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) with active membership status
  • Minimum of 5 years\' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of immigration pathways into Canada
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policy development
  • Preferred ability to communicate effectively in 2 or more languages including English.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal Labour and Employment Standards and the Canadian Human Rights Act
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks related to the workforce in order to evaluate and improve immigration initiatives.
