Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Product Managers deliver business results by bringing high-quality products to market by defining the strategy and execution plans while continuously innovating to achieve market leadership. Product Managers are experts at market and business analysis, product definition, product roadmap, pricing, ecosystem, channel strategy, strategic planning, competitive analysis, innovation, and leading cross-functional teams. They manage the product lifecycle from inception through growth, maturity, and end of life stages and define partnership and ecosystem strategy for product execution. They are experts in the field and are recognized as a credible voice in the market.

Product Managers operate in a demanding role at the epicenter of multidisciplinary teams which include design, engineering, sales, tech sales, marketing, finance, and legal. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a role in product planning and execution through the product life cycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, competitive differentiation, defining vision, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure market success for the product and customer satisfaction. The Product Manager\xe2\x80\x99s job also includes ensuring the product supports the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategy and goals. This role requires collaboration and coordination across internal and external teams and is visible across the organization.

As an Associate Product Manager, you would be supporting colleagues in the IBM MQ Product Management team to deliver successful business results while gaining exposure to many aspects of the product management discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute outcome-based roadmaps, business models, competitive analysis and go-to-market plans for IBM\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Messaging (IBM MQ) capabilities
• Engage with customers to understand pain points, discuss enhancement requests, evangelize product capabilities, and engage various disciplines to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work with product management leadership and sales leadership to understand and track the health and adoption of product, analyze performance and derive insights

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability synthesize complex topics into simple to understand stories
• Capable of performing fact-based research and deriving insights and a point of view
• Willingness to engage with enterprise customers and users
• Technical aptitude and an interest in Enterprise Messaging and Kafka-based technology
