We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC-R Journeyman to join our team and facilitate high efficiency heating and cooling installations in both new construction and service/retrofit environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong self-leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of installing and servicing forced air heating and cooling systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete new HVAC-R installations in a retrofit capacity, upgrading customers with new high efficiency HVAC equipment (furnaces, air handlers, evaporator coils, heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilators, humidifiers, controls, etc.)
Work alongside our HVAC sheet metal division to provide refrigeration installations and equipment commissioning on our new construction projects in the residential and light commercial sectors.
Perform common HVAC-R tasks such as equipment placement, line set installation, refrigerant charging/reclaim, vacuum pumping, pressure testing, control wiring, thermostat installation, gas fitting, gas venting, equipment maintenance and servicing, and other minor diagnostic work.
Perform routine maintenance and service calls according to priority scheduling with preferred customers.
Complete thorough commissioning reports on our own systems and installations.
Communicate with customers, contractors, project managers, co workers, and other sub trades on job sites to provide unity in purpose and expectations.
Promote our company culture and values through positive attitude, team collaboration, and trade stoke.
Skills
Knowledge of HVAC-R equipment, refrigerant handling, controls, and HVAC system installs as well as familiarity with the general construction process.
Hydronic heating, sheet metal HVAC, and gas fitting knowledge is a bonus but not required.
Self-leadership and the ability to work well alone or with others on a team.
Attention to detail for meticulous installation work and data collection during commissioning.
Communication abilities to inform, educate, and collaborate with co workers and customers.
Physical fitness to accommodate general construction tasks.
A valid BC drivers license and the ability to drive company work vehicles.
Technical abilities to use precision HVAC-R tools as well as our company project management, commissioning, and time tracking apps.
Willingness to learn and grow as an individual tradesperson through weekly/monthly goal setting, accountability, and training opportunities.

Pay: $42.00-$47.00 per hour
