Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The HVAC Technician will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install new HVAC systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, including electrical components, plumbing, and ductwork. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of parts used. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects on time. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations related to HVAC systems.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics and blueprints related to HVAC systems. Proficient in plumbing tasks associated with HVAC installations and repairs. Experience in welding techniques for metal fabrication related to HVAC components is a plus. Ability to build custom ductwork or other necessary structures for system installation. Knowledge of appliance repair techniques as they relate to HVAC systems is beneficial. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 20 months

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour

AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
