We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. You would be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, boilers, ventilation systems, and geothermal units.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, adjusting, and calibrating systems.
Repair:
Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including electrical and mechanical components. Replace defective parts and ensure systems are functioning correctly.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve problems with HVAC systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, provide solutions, and offer recommendations for system improvements.
Compliance:
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, inventory, and customer interactions.
On call:
Participation in on call rotation is required.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school training in HVAC systems is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
Certifications:
Gas fitter (G2 or G1) Required
Sheet metal ticket 308R would be an asset
Refrigeration 313A or 313D would be an asset
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.
Work Environment:
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in residential or commercial settings.
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols is required.
