Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced HVAC Supervisor to oversee our HVAC team and ensure efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a background in construction, service technician experience, and HVAC design. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage field service operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Pay Package as per Local 473.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of HVAC technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. Review schematics and blueprints to determine system requirements and ensure compliance with specifications. Oversee HVAC design projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Provide technical guidance on plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, and boiler systems. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify issues and implement corrective actions as necessary. Train and mentor team members on best practices in equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment maintenance logs. Collaborate with other departments for property maintenance projects involving HVAC/R systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues within HVAC systems.

Qualifications

Proven experience in HVAC supervision or a related field with strong mechanical knowledge. Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC installations. Experience with appliance repair and field service operations is a plus. Strong understanding of construction principles as they relate to HVAC installations. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in all operations. Valid driver's license required; must be able to operate company vehicles safely. Certification in HVAC/R or relevant technical training is advantageous.
