The J. Hansen Group Inc. is in search of a

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Apprentice (Level 3) or Journeyman.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, self-motivated individual with a mechanical aptitude who takes great pride in their work. They will assist in performing service work on a variety of equipment, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems and refrigeration systems in commercial and residential environments. They will maintain excellent rapport and nurture long-term value-based relationships with new and existing customers. With their technical expertise, they will play a definite key role in enhancing our company image and reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, valves, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power tools Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices Maintain, repair, and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems Other duties as assigned
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required Enrolled in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanical apprenticeship program, level 3 is preferred
Service experience is an asset

Ability to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients (flexible on-call rotating schedule) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms Must be comfortable working from heights Ability to work well in a team environment Must have a valid drivers license and willing to provide a driver's abstract
