The Human Resources Technician (HRT) supports key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, employee engagement, and training initiatives. This role also provides backup coverage for payroll and benefits administration. The HRT works closely with staff and management to ensure HR needs are met effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
In accordance with the standards of the WDN and reporting to the Human Resources Manager (HRM), the Human Resources Technician will:
Recruitment:
Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, development of interview questions, candidate vetting and screening, and preparing offer letters.
Onboarding:
Prepare orientation materials, assist new hires with documentation, and maintain accurate personnel records.
Policy Implementation:
Support the implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with labour standards.
Employee Engagement:
Coordinate initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
Employee Relations:
Maintain employee records, track milestones, and send reminders to supervisors, and coordinate meetings as requested.
Payroll Support:
Assist with payroll processes and act as backup for the Payroll & Benefits Officer.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.

Pay: $44,436.09-$57,000.00 per year
