JOB SUMMARY



Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resources Technician plays an essential role in the smooth running and support of HR operations related to staffing, OHS, training, and administration. Among other things, he/she is involved in processing applications, managing employee files, and monitoring OHS events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Staffing



Analyze needs:

Assist managers in determining their needs for recruiting needs for factory positions.

Manage postings:

Prepare, publish and manage job offers on various recruitment platforms.

Sort applications:

Sort and analyze resumes received for factory positions.

Pre-screening:

Conduct preliminary telephone interviews and pre-select applications according to established criteria.

Coordinate interviews:

Organize meetings between managers and candidates.

Follow-up on applications:

Follow up on applications and document their file.

Compile data

: Produce statistical reports (positions, postings, applications, interviews) using our internal tools.

Coordinate the hiring of interns

: Manage the intern hiring process.

Support staffing processes

: Collaborate with the HR Advisor in recruitment and onboarding activities, and take on specific mandates as needed.

Occupational Health and Safety



Contribute to the OHS file management

: Participate in updating and monitoring employee health and safety in SMAAT software.

Support OHS event monitoring:

Collaborate in the handling of incidents, workplace accidents and corrective actions.

Collaborate with stakeholders:

Work with operations and the senior HR business partner to maintain file compliance.

Participate in OHS indicators monitoring

: Assist in collecting and updating OHS performance data as needed.

Other HR tasks:



Write disciplinary notices:

Support the senior HR business partner in preparing disciplinary notices.

Internal Communications:

Write and send HR communications to employees.

Update internal policies:

Participate in drafting and updating of internal policies.

Contribute to enrolment processes:

Provide administrative support for group insurance and pension plan enrolment, in collaboration with the payroll and HR departments.

Support training tracking:

Collaborate with internal teams, particularly accounting, to compile the data necessary to comply with the 1% law requirements.

Contribute to HR projects:

Actively participate in HR projects related to staffing, OHS or administration.

Improve processes

: Participate in the continuous improvement of HR practices. Any other related tasks.

Requirements, qualities and skills required:



College diploma in human resources management or certificate in human resources management. At least five years of relevant experience in human resources, including staffing occupational health and safety, ideally in the manufacturing sector. Knowledge of Quebec labour laws. Fluency in French, both oral and written. Fluency in English, both oral and written, to communicate with candidates in North America (an asset). Good priority management skills and ability to handle multiple files at the same time. Organizational skills, thoroughness, and discretion. Team spirit, collaboration. Autonomy, sense of responsibility and results-oriented. Positive, professional, caring and respectful attitude. Customer-focused and good interpersonal skills. Comfortable with technology tools (Office Suite, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint) and interest in optimizing HR processes. Knowledge of SMAAT software is an asset.

The team is made up of an HR advisor specializing in talent acquisition, a senior business partner and an HR director who knows the organization inside out.
