We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Calgary District within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in September 2023.

Here\'s how a Human Resources Student for our Calgary office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

Being involved in and exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development, and record keeping

Assisting with the full-cycle recruitment process including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, onboarding, and off-boarding employees for the student program

Assisting with planning and facilitating various HR events for the student program

Assisting with planning and participating in career fairs and information sessions

Assisting with training coordination and facilitating course set-up

Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)

Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy

Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation

Assisting with district Human Resource initiatives related to employee engagement, mentoring, and health and wellness

Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team

Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments

Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments

Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism
