$78,514.14 - $90,507.10

Eligibility

• Degree or Diploma in business administration, social sciences, human resources management, or similar degree. Relevant work experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of principles, theories and practices of all human resources functions and management is required.
• Strong ability in interpreting employee and labour laws, specifically the Canada Labour Code, and other applicable acts and regulations is required.
• General knowledge of Yukon Environment and Socio-economic Assessment Act, as well as Yukon First Nations and First Nations Agreements is required.
• Experience working in a First Nation government is considered an asset.

Location:
The Human Resources Officer works from the Head Office, located in Whitehorse, Yukon.
Relocation incentives may be available.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the is responsible for administration of Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board\'s (YESAB) human resources functions. Further, this position is responsible for:

• Applying HR strategies, policies, and programs to support YESAB\'s mission, goals, objectives, and Board set priorities.
• Leading YESAB\'s recruitment and talent management acquisition, which includes drafting of job advertisements, conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and extending employment offers in compliance with federally regulated standards.
• Supporting initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being, including wellness programs, employee recognition, and team-building activities.
• Utilizing HR information systems and technology solutions to streamline HR processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making, this includes auditing employee information on a regular basis.
