Athabasca Health Authority is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead our HR operations. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation, and benefits administration. The HR Manager will collaborate with government, business, and community partners to develop and implement policies that foster a positive and supportive work environment.
This position reports to the Director of Corporate Services and works closely with Senior Management, Board of Directors, and external consultants to manage HR processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• HR Strategy & Compliance: Ensure all HR policies align with federal and provincial regulations and best practices.
• Employee Relations: Advise senior management on employment standards, labour relations, and human rights policies.
• Policy Development: Create and analyze HR policies for compliance and consistency.
• Recruitment & Retention: Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job postings to employee offers.
• Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement employee development programs.
• HR Administration: Maintain records, compile reports on hiring trends, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
• Collaboration: Work closely with managers to build and support teams, ensuring a positive workplace culture.
• Confidentiality & Ethics: Handle all HR-related matters with discretion in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Commerce, or Psychology.
• Experience: Minimum Experience in Human resources.
• Certifications: CHRP designation is an asset. Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
