Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Kitchener, Ontario. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for a rapidly growing healthcare organization. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the expansion of our workforce in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the full recruitment cycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
• Conduct thorough background and reference checks to ensure suitable hires.
• Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
• Support the training and development of new hires to align with organizational goals.
• Partner with the Director to execute hiring plans and meet workforce expansion targets.
• Manage the recruitment of unionized and non-unionized roles, leveraging best practices for each.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies during all recruitment activities.
• Provide regular updates and reports on hiring progress to key stakeholders.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or human resources.
• Proven expertise in full-cycle recruitment, including interviewing and reference checking.
• Familiarity with recruitment in unionized environments is an asset.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in conducting background checks and ensuring compliance with employment standards.
