Position Summary




The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) plays a key role in cultivating a collaborative and high-performing workplace culture. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the HRG is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance reviews and terminations, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices. This role delivers comprehensive HR services, supports leadership with practical guidance, and directly manages policies, onboarding, employee relations, and workplace initiatives. By actively executing and advising on critical HR tasks, the HRG helps attract, develop, and retain team members who embody our core values and contributes to a dynamic and supportive organizational culture.

Duties and Responsibilities



HR Strategy Planning & Execution



Develop and maintain human resource strategies aligned with the company's vision, goals, and objectives. Collaborate with leadership to implement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and quality performance. Lead continuous improvement and risk mitigation efforts within the HR function.

Full Cycle HR Management



Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and termination. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Coach and advise managers on effective HR processes and decision-making.

Culture Cultivation: Internal Communications and Events Management



Foster a positive, engaging workplace environment that supports the organization's core values. Lead internal communication efforts and promote transparency across all business units. Manage the internal Intranet site (MS SharePoint), keeping all pertinent information up to date and accessible to staff. Plan, coordinate, and execute employee events and team-building initiatives to strengthen collaboration and morale.

Education, Learning, and Development Management



Effectively educate staff on G23's comprehensive benefits--including health, financial, and employee perks--as well as organizational policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information across the team. Identify skills gaps and development opportunities, ensuring access to relevant resources and workshops. Design, implement, and oversee training programs to empower staff and support professional growth. Facilitate and/or outsource onboarding sessions and ongoing educational activities.

Reporting and Compliance



Prepare accurate and timely reports on HR metrics, trends, and compliance efforts. Conduct employment checks, including Police Information Checks, as required. Ensure adherence to legislative requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)



Knowledge



Comprehensive understanding of corporate mission, values, regulatory requirements, employment standards, and privacy laws. In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, organizational behavior, employment law, and workplace safety. Familiarity with internal policies, adult education theories, instructional design, and training program development. Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to inform reporting and strategic decisions. Stays current on HR trends, compliance updates, and innovations in talent management and organizational development.

Skills



Strong communication skills to lead internal communications and promote transparency across the organization. Proficient in planning and executing employee events, onboarding, training, and team-building initiatives. Skilled in preparing reports, identifying skills gaps, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Technically proficient with MS Office (Excel), HRIS, LMS, clinic EMRs, and secure data handling (PHI, MFA, e-signatures).

Abilities



Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with corporate goals, manage change, ensure compliance, foster inclusivity, and motivate staff through development and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in human resources management (or related field) with continued education in the field of Human Resources (HR) preferred A CPHR designation is preferred A combination of experience and education may be considered 3-5 years in the field of HR management HR experience in the health care sector an asset A combination of education and experience may satisfy the requirements of the role.
