We\xe2\x80\x99re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be \xe2\x80\x98on the money\'.


Our team is constantly growing and this means our People team is on the lookout for exceptional people to help Relay deliver. We are looking for a Human Resources Co-op to help us scale our People engine. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup and make an impact across all of our growing teams, support our office needs, and contribute to new hire onboarding, recruiting, and HR administration.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing:

  • Be our resident office coordinator for any office tasks, inquiries or issues that arise
  • Support Relay\xe2\x80\x99s IT Specialist for tech set-up, office passes, and other employee needs
  • Support our Talent function by conducting administrative tasks in Lever (Our ATS), contributing to employer branding initiatives, drafting job descriptions, and more
  • Support our HR function by providing administrative support for onboarding new hires into different tooling platforms, and providing email updates
  • Be a key player in distributing swag for new hires, and helping support our anniversary initiatives
  • Aid in the development, planning, and implementation of company-wide and team events
  • Spearhead the signup process for Show & Tell presentations (tri-weekly company presentations on initiatives, projects, or learnings teammates want to share)
  • Spearhead the implementation of a code of conduct for the office; and aid in reminders for employees to uphold cleanliness, use of meeting rooms, etc

Who You Are:

  • You have 1+ years of experience working in a team-focused setting
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the desire to grow and develop this further
  • You are a team player; inspiring candor and trust while working cross-functionally across our teams at Relay
  • You have deep empathy for team members and the willingness to problem solve, be resourceful, and deliver an excellent experience
  • You have fine-tuned prioritization skills to maximize your impact
  • You have the ability to rise to a challenge; you can handle change and uncertainty, at times



Bonus Points:
  • Experience working in a start-up or fast-paced environment
  • GSuite experience, demonstrated experience with HRIS and ATS (any kind)

Duration: May 1st - August 25th
Compensation: $20/hour
Employment Type: Full-time Co-op
Work Location: Tuesdays/Thursdays in the office at 60 Adelaide St E, Toronto, Ontario, Monday/Wednesday/Friday remote
