The Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) is a regulatory authority responsible for ensuring the safety of boilers and pressure vessels, elevating devices, amusement rides, gas, electrical, and plumbing systems across the province. TSASK plays a vital role in public safety by establishing and enforcing safety standards through permits, inspections, and licensing services.

Since our formation in 2010, we've built a strong culture of collaboration, professionalism, and service. We work closely with owners, operators, and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation and reduce risk through proactive assessment and education.

The Opportunity



We are seeking a versatile and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our dedicated HR team. This is a key role in a small but high-impact department that provides full-spectrum HR services to a workforce of approximately 150 employees, including unionized and out-of-scope staff.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work across various HR functions including training, organizational development, change management, recruitment, performance management, and more. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can identify issues, propose solutions, and take initiative to support and strengthen our HR operations.

Key Responsibilities



Partner directly with managers across departments to understand operational needs and provide strategic HR guidance.

Advise and support leadership in identifying organizational gaps and implementing solutions to enhance effectiveness and engagement.

Coach managers through change initiatives and organizational growth, contributing to a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.

Support performance management processes and employee engagement efforts.

Advise on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations.

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational values.

Proactively identify HR issues and present actionable solutions to leadership.

Design and deliver training programs that build leadership capacity and support professional development.

Contribute to succession planning and talent development strategies to ensure long-term organizational success.

Conduct research and provide recommendations on HR best practices and legislative compliance.

Qualifications and Experience



Minimum seven years of progressive HR experience across multiple functions.

Proven ability to design and deliver training programs.

Experience in organizational development and leadership coaching.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience working in a unionized environment is essential.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is an asset.

CPHR designation (or working toward it) is an asset.
