About the Role:
The Provincial Recruitment Division is a strong contributor to NL Health Services' strategic and operational plans with a focus on building a diverse, qualified and sustainable workforce.
The HR Consultant works within a team environment and provides a full continuum of talent acquisition services to stakeholders in the public and throughout the organization. This involves sourcing talent, screening, interviewing and selecting top candidates, on-boarding, development of service contracts, incentives and strategies for difficult to recruit positions. The HR Consultant is an ambassador at career fairs and participates/contributes to lean, quality and improvement processes/policies.
Job Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Commerce with a specialization in Human Resource Management is required.
CPHR certification is an asset.
Experience Minimum of two years of recruitment experience in a unionized environment is required.
Experience in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage high volumes of work with multiple and competing priorities/deadlines.
Demonstrated mediation, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
Ability to work independently and to use discretion and good judgment in decision making.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team environment.
Other: A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
