Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. has an exciting permanent employment opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This position resides in Vancouver, BC and will support R&D personnel in our offices located in Vancouver and Edmonton. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual who possess consultative and collaborative skills to partner and consult with all levels of business leadership and provide guidance on, but not limited to, the following topics:

Deliver on key HR initiatives including:

  • Advise the local leadership team on HR matters;
  • Provide assistance during onboarding process;
  • Deliver HR training around HR policy and processes;
  • Counsel to employees on HR matters;
  • Manage leaves (vacation, STD/LTD/Maternity Leave);
  • Manage attrition including conducting exit interviews.
  • Support performance management
Other key activities include:
  • Through effective talent management, work with business directors to build a strong talent team that aligns with business development;
  • Responsible for communicating HR deliverables to leadership and employees;
  • Adapt and continuously optimize HR processes, and improve the quality and efficiency of HR work through effective operations.;
  • Effectively pass on core values, manage employee relationships, and create a healthy and dynamic organizational climate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or above in Human Resources Management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources work experience
  • Be familiar with general HR practices and a proven track record in the execution of the same.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously is a must when broad direction is provided.
  • Strong command of the English language and proficiency in Mandarin is an asset.
