THRIVE Child Development Centre/Centre de développement de l’enfant is an incorporated, non-profit Children’s Treatment Centre providing inter-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation, respite care, an on-site childcare program and resource support to community childcare centres in Sault Ste. We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant for an 18-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanency. We are seeking an innovative, highly motivated, and detail-oriented professional who is able to effectively prioritize workflow, operate with a high level of integrity and is adaptable and responsive to change. The Human Resources Assistant will report to the Human Resources Manager, and will assist in the administration coordination and implementation of HR programs, and provide administrative support.

What we need from you:

  • A post-secondary education (3 or 4 year diploma or degree) in Business or Human Resources is required.
  • CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum of one year of related experience
  • A passion for supporting and working with a team and are committed to a collaborative, attuned, strengths-based approach to problem solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, balanced with a commitment to a collaborative team approach.
  • Strong customer service skills including the ability to communicate professionally and courteously across all levels and positions.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and vulnerable sector screen (CPIC) is required
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required
  • Access to a reliable vehicle as travel is required throughout the district
