Job Description

The

Human Resources (HR) Assistant

is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, assisting with employee records, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks. The HR Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and helping maintain a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Onboarding



Assist in posting job openings on job boards and company websites. Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates. Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interview logistics. Assist in preparing job offer letters and employment contracts. Facilitate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training sessions.

2. Employee Records & HR Administration



Maintain and update employee records in HR databases. Assist in processing employee changes such as promotions, terminations, and transfers. Ensure compliance with labor laws by maintaining accurate documentation. Prepare reports on HR metrics, such as employee turnover and attendance. Assist with performance review documentation and scheduling.

3. Payroll & Benefits Administration



Help process payroll changes, such as new hires, raises, and deductions. Support employees with benefits enrollment and answer benefits-related inquiries. Assist in coordinating leave requests (FMLA, PTO, sick leave). Maintain records of time-off requests and track attendance.

4. Employee Relations & Compliance



Support HR initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement. Assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary actions. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and industry regulations.

5. Training & Development



Help coordinate training programs and workshops for employees. Track employee training completion and maintain training records. Assist in developing and distributing employee handbooks and policy updates.

Qualifications & Skills:



Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:

1-2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred but not required. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR software. Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment & Schedule:



Office setting, Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM - 5 PM (hours may vary). May require occasional overtime or travel for recruitment events or training sessions.

Pay: $44,748.49-$80,787.87 per year
