Nella Toronto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This role will require the successful candidate to be on-site 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations within the department, and contributing to a positive employee experience. This position requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Duties
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling and conducting interviews.
Responsible for completing daily attendance using system and recording all employee vacation/time off requests.
Maintain employee records in HRIS systems, assist in employee benefits enrollment, and submit ROE's and WSIB paperwork.
Support payroll process with office manager.
Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation programs.
Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, fostering positive employee relations.
Help organize training sessions and professional development initiatives for staff.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies throughout HR practices.
Document all employee relations issues in HR records
Any other duties required by HR Manager
Skills/Requirements
Educational background in HR or related field (i.e., HR diploma or Degree)
2 years of experience in HR
Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Suite
Strong understanding of HR sourcing techniques and employee relations best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
