This is a hybrid opportunity based at our head office in Surrey, BC, with 2 days per week in office.

Base Salary:

Commensurate with Experience +

Salary Progression by Total Work Terms Completed:

Safe Software is looking for a Human Resources Assistant Intern to join our team and support our recruitment and onboarding processes! This is a four-month, full-time placement (with the possibility of an 8-month extension).

About The Team





You'll join Safe's dynamic and collaborative HR team, composed of specialists in recruitment, HR operations, and employee engagement. Together, we're dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where employees thrive professionally and personally-ensuring Safe Software's employees feel valued, supported, and empowered. What You'll Be Doing





As a Human Resources Assistant Co-op, you will support Safe's onboarding and recruitment processes, helping to deliver a smooth and positive experience for candidates and new hires. You'll work closely with our team to:


Support Safe's recruitment process by reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting candidate references and background checks. Assist with new hire onboarding tasks, including orientation scheduling and facilitation, preparing welcome materials, and managing documentation. Collaborate with various departments (ex. IT, hiring managers) to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding experience. Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives. Work on ad hoc HR projects as required.

This role will provide you with a great opportunity to learn more about the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process, and explore other collaborative efforts within an HR setting.

Required Skills




We are looking for a student who demonstrates a positive attitude, is collaborative, and most importantly, willing to learn! Effective communication skills - you are able to communicate your ideas and thoughts clearly and concisely. Excellent time management skills - you can manage and prioritize your day-to-day tasks. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Pursuing education in Human Resources or equivalent field.

Bonus Points:




Previous HR Co-op experience Experience using an HRIS system (UKG is an asset) Previous experience with interviewing scheduling or reference calls is an asset Students in 3rd year and above
