Job Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant will be primarily responsible to assist and support the team in the day-to-day human resources operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative assistance to the Human Resources team including:

  • Timely and efficient data entry of new hire employees into HR/PR system
  • Assists with data maintenance and integrity of the HR/PR system
  • Administion and processing of all employee life-cycle documentation
  • Scanning, saving and uploading documents pertaining to HR function into appropriate electronic files
  • Assistance in the maintenance of various tracking databases
  • Produce reports as required
  • Administration and tracking of various training initiatives such as but not limited to; Alberta Job Grants
  • Other administrative support tasks as required
Provide general reception support:
  • Answer/screen all incoming calls
  • Greeting visitor as required
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong interpersonal / customer service skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to manage documents and files in a organized, secure and compliant manner
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
  • 1-3 years of administrative support experience is preferred
