What We Do: We are advancing an exciting pipeline of neurology-focused therapies, with a focus on commercializing novel treatments for epilepsy. Building upon the positive results and compelling data from our XEN1101 Phase 2b \xe2\x80\x9cX-TOLE\xe2\x80\x9d study in adult patients with focal epilepsy, our XEN1101 Phase 3 program includes studies in adult patients with focal onset seizures and primary generalized tonic clonic seizures. In addition, XEN1101 is being evaluated as a treatment for major depressive disorder in both a company-sponsored Phase 2 clinical trial, as well as an investigator-led proof-of-concept study. Xenon\'s proprietary, pediatric formulation of ezogabine, XEN496, is being studied in a Phase 3 clinical trial in young patients with KCNQ2-DEE, a rare and severe form of childhood epilepsy. About the Role: We are seeking a Human Resources Analyst or Senior Human Resources Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring systems, processes, data, and documentation are managed for assigned company-wide program areas for Staffing and Recruitment (Talent Acquisition) activities with the Program Lead. In addition, the HR Analyst will provide support for recruitment and employee life-cycle activities for assigned customer groups. As a member of the HR Operations team, the HR Analyst will work collaboratively to ensure company policies, programs, processes and guidelines are closely followed to ensure there is a well-managed experience for candidates and employees. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources and will be located in Vancouver, BC, Canada area. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, update, and finalize all position and employee related data for Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Approved FTE variances to the AOP, and 5-year Staffing Plans in collaboration with Program Lead and HR Partners as required from a budget forecast perspective. Ensure AOP data is updated regularly.
  • Organize, coordinate, track, and document activities related to recruitment and onboarding processes including, but not limited to Xenon\xe2\x80\x99s applicant tracking system, careers site, external job boards, search firm agreements, recruitment tracking, and career fairs, as well as feedback from new hires.
  • Act as a point of contact for Dayforce (Xenon\xe2\x80\x99s HRIS and payroll system) modules, such as Recruitment and Onboarding. In addition, become familiar with the other modules.
  • Collaborate on Xenon\xe2\x80\x99s university Co-op program, along with the annual Summer Student and Intern program opportunities. Build knowledge of BioTalent and other government subsidy programs as required.
  • Provide metrics, analytics and insights on various program areas as established by Program Leads. As needed, design and implement system generated or custom reports.
  • For assigned operating groups, coordinate full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and off-boarding, performance management and compensation activities.
  • Participate in departmental projects as needed.
  • Conduct behavior in a professional and respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. Provide clear information and explanations to employees regarding established and routine human resource programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Act in accordance with Company policies, including, for example, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and ensure policies are understood and followed by direct reports, if any.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration/Commerce (Finance or Information Systems) or Psychology.
  • 4 to 6+ years of Human Resources experience executing upon a company-wide process or systems.
  • Previous experience working within or closely with a Talent Acquisition (Recruitment) team.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Canadian and US employment, human rights, and immigration laws.
  • Previous experience with a HRIS with configuration, implementation and maintenance is required. Experience with Dayforce (Core, Onboarding, Recruitment, Performance, Report Writing) is desired.
  • Previous experience or working knowledge of Adaptive Planning or other financial planning software programs is desired.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must possess intermediate level Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup, formulas).
  • Strong operational discipline \xe2\x80\x93 proactive and organized, with a strong track record of delivering high quality results.
  • Excellent detail orientation and data entry skills, with a strong aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Demonstrates maturity and sound judgment, ability to balance business needs with the role of employee advocate.
  • Ability to multi-task, propose and establish priorities in accordance with company objectives.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and interact with all levels in the organization.
